BEER AND COCKTAIL MENU

FEATURED COCKTAIL

Rusty Nail - Cutty Sark Scotch and Drambuie.

The Rusty Nail is strictly an American invention that became fashionable in the 1950s with people who wanted their scotch without the bite of a Rob Roy.  The name seems to indicate fierceness, but the honeyed characteristic of Drambuie imparts a mellow tone.  It is said that the Rusty Nail was named by one of several Scottish bartenders who repaid the incivility of loud American customers by stirring this drink with a rusty nail.  One look at this ruddy amber cocktail would indicate the actual source of its name.

Try this cocktail slightly heated for a perfect winter warmer!

BEER MENU

(9 Beers on Tap. Selection changes daily – this is a representative sample)

Bitburger Pilsner (Germany)

Very pale & extremely light.  Clean, soft maltiness & a firm hop finish.  Germany’s first Pilsner, since 1883.

Bass Ale: (England)

Calm, quick, sweet initial taste. Malty, unobtrusive, yet zesty, aroma has a hint of caramel.

Bridgeport IPA: (Portland, OR)

IPA sparkling with effervescence, the result of natural-conditioning, a process where the beer is double-fermented in each keg. Five hop varieties produces a floral, citrus aroma and full hop flavor, while downplaying the bitterness.

Dinkel Acker Dark (Germany)

Moderate chewy sweetness that almost immediately turns a bit sharp and yummy; slight burnt-caramel taste lingers and remains tantalizingly around the roof of your mouth.

Hacker-Pschorr Weisse (Germany)

Pleasantly fruity, medium-bodied, unfiltered; crisp and refreshing with a clean finish and a beautiful golden-copper color. Extremely drinkable.

Hales Cream Ale (Seattle, WA)

A smooth, easy-drinking golden pale ale served on our nitrogen tap for extra creaminess.

Hoegaarden White Bier (Belgium)

Flavored with coriander seed and Curacao orange peel.  A very light and refreshing unfiltered white wheat beer

Leffe Brune (Belgium)

Robustly flavored brown ale with a rich aroma of roasted caramel and hints of chocolate and dark fruit.  Slightly sweet,

balanced by a spicy hop finish.

Spaten Lager (Germany)

Well-hopped with a pervasive light grain taste that stays moderately bitter.  The individual ingredients make their presence known while maintaining a  pleasant textural presence throughout.
